This is my favorite year to offer plenty of free printable craft options for kids. Today I’m featuring an adorable free Christmas tree template that your kids can cut out to color and use for other options like decorations or holiday cards.
These tree templates can be used as a Christmas tree stencil, coloring page, holiday greeting card cover, or Christmas ornaments. If you want to use this as an ornament then you’ll want to put a hole punch in the top of the tree, tie some ribbon around it in a loop and hang on your Christmas tree.

How to Use These Free Printable Christmas Tree Template Cut Outs
1. Decorate the Christmas Tree
Download, print, and cut out each Christmas tree stencil. Have your kids color their trees and then put a hole in each tree to hang upon your tree this holiday season using ribbon or twine.
2. Coloring Activity
You can use this Christmas tree outline stencil as a coloring activity. Simply print the template in black and white, grab your kids’ favorite coloring utensils and let them enjoy hours of coloring Christmas trees while you read some Christmas books together.
3. Christmas Stags
This is an older tradition of décor for Christmas where you return to a more historical imagery for Christmas decorations around the home. You can use this Christmas tree template for Christmas stags with or without coloring the trees.
4. Christmas Themed Lunchbox Notes
Use this Christmas tree template to download, print the free printable, and cut out to draw notes on them and place them in your kids’ lunchboxes during December. This will add a festive touch to your regular school lunchbox notes to make your kids smile in the middle of the school day.

As always, most of my Christmas crafts can be used for homemade Merry Christmas cards. You can fold construction paper or regular paper into a card shape, then glue the colorful Christmas tree stencil onto the front of the Christmas cards to send out to the family during the holiday season.
