2. Butterfly Facts for Kids

In the chrysalis stage, the larva attaches itself to a hanging pouch in the cocoon.
Finally, the adult butterfly emerges from the chrysalis.
They will start eating nectar from flowers.
Butterflies help the plants to pollinate.
Because their wings are so light, they won’t work if the air becomes too chilly so they prefer warm temperatures.
3. Big and Small Letters

What better way to learn lowercase and uppercase letters than by playing a game?
This big and small letters balloon game is guaranteed to be a hit with the kids.
This weekend, head outside and play while learning about the letter B!
Don’t forget to bring all of your balloons and markers.
Start by filling the balloons with air.
I used blue balloons when we played this game so that I could associate the color with the letter of the week.
You can use any color balloons that you have on hand.
After the balloons have been filled, write a small letter B on one and a capital letter B on the other.
Toss every balloon into the air.
One by one, have your children catch the balloons with the small and capital letter B.
You may also add that the balloons they are playing with begin with the letter B.
To make the game more exciting, have your children pop the balloons with small or capital letters.
4. Letter of the Week: B
My kids were happy to share all the words they knew that begin with the letter B during our letter of the week lesson.
