2. Stegosaurus Craft

Stegosaurs are a wonderful model for creating crafts because they are one of the most identifiable dinosaurs.

This printable stegosaurus template idea is simple to make and even grownups can do it!

This will be a fantastic way to spend time with your family this weekend.

Let’s make a stegosaurus craft with paper plates, tissue rolls, construction paper, markers, scissors, and glue!

Cut the paper plate in half to make the stegosaurus body.

You can either have your children color or paint the paper plate, or you can leave it blank.

Cut an empty tissue roll into two small rolls to create the stegosaurus legs.

Cut an inch from the top of the roll on both sides so the paper plate can be attached.

You can draw and cut out all the other stegosaurus body parts from construction paper, such as the head, bony plates, and tail.

Make more stegosaurus crafts and use them in your puppet shows or imaginative plays!

3. Clothespin Stegosaurus

This printable stegosaurus template can be used in a variety of learning areas, including not only arts and crafts and science but also math.

This is a wonderful technique to teach your children about numbers and counting.

Your tiny dinosaur fans will appreciate learning math with this clothespin stegosaurus.

To get started, we’ll need a copy of the printable stegosaurus template, as well as clothespins, markers, and scissors.

Cut out the stegosaurus outline.

Make sure the bony plates on its back aren’t included.

Label the clothespins with numbers.

Start with numbers 1 to 5 if you have a preschooler.

You can write the numbers 1 to 10 for kindergarteners.

Begin the activity by having your children pick the clothespin with the number 1 on it and clip it to the stegosaurus body.

Working with clothespins helps them strengthen their fine motor abilities as well.

Continue to have them pick and clip until the last number is reached.

After that, have them count all of the clothespins on the stegosaurus.
