2. Paper Plate Ankylosaurus Craft

We can make these printable ankylosaurus template ideas with a variety of creative materials.

They are the simplest to make and only require inexpensive materials that we can find around the house.

Let’s make a paper plate ankylosaurus craft with paper plates, construction paper, scissors, and glue!

We’ll start by making the ankylosaurus’ spikey armored body.

From construction paper, cut little triangle shapes.

Flip the paper plate over and attach the spike cutouts.

You can draw the head and legs on construction paper using the printable ankylosaurus template as a guide.

Cut out more body parts and glue them to the paper plate.

Begin by cutting out the outline of an ankylosaurus.

Temporarily place it on the black construction paper.

Colorfully paint the black construction paper.

Fill the paper with a variety of bright colors.

After the paper has dried, remove the ankylosaurus outline.

It now has an ankylosaurus silhouette on it.

4. Count the Dino Spikes

Ankylosaurus was a type of armored dinosaur.

They use their body armor plates to defend themselves against predators.

Spikes were embedded in their bony plates.

Have you ever wondered how many spikes an ankylosaurus had?
