After you have printed your template, cut out the hearts and trace them on your yellow, black and pink card stock paper.
You’ll need two of each large hearts along with two small pink hearts. We traced the smaller hearts, but you can also use these small heart stickers.
Then, trace out his antennas and cut those out of our black card stock paper.
After you’ve traced and cut out your shapes, gather up the yellow and black hearts. Lay them out in a straight line, one on top of the other and glue them together.
His face will be yellow, so start with that one first.
Next, with the body still facing down, glue on the pink hearts horizontally. These will be your bee’s wings.
Now we are going to add you Valentine Bee’s antennas.
Wait a couple of minutes for all of these to dry and flip him over.
To finish your simple Valentine’s Day Bee card, you will add his googly eyes, hearts on his antennas and a cute little smile.
If you decide to use the colored template or the template your child has colored, you can skip this step.
More Options to Choose:
- You can print the blank version and trace the cut outs on card stock paper for a sturdier Valentine’s Day card,
- Print the color version for a simple and easy Valentine’s Day craft or,
- Print the blank version and use it as a Valentine’s Day coloring sheet activity and then glue the pieces together.
To print your Valentine’s Day Bee template, turn the printer on, click on either the color version or black and white then click print.
I like this version best. While I am working to use it as a template for our card stock paper, my daughter can color her own to keep in her collection. Once complete then cut them out and glue him together.
