Often only during times of crisis we find ourselves turning to God for rescue. But it is important now more than ever to turn to Him everyday, not just in those sorrowful times. God is waiting and ready to listen to anyone who goes to Him seeking guidance.

In Matthew 7:7-8 Jesus says, “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.”

So when you are seeking something, as a believer, you can call on God for his help at anytime. Not just in crisis. By seeking God on a regular basis, we can then better equip ourselves for the tough times that are guaranteed to arise. God is telling you to go talk to Him. Everyday. All day. Listen to His calling and go to Him.

Psalm 27:8 (NLT)

My heart has heard you say,

“Come and talk with me.”

And my heart responds,

“LORD, I am coming.”
