SUPPLIES YOU’LL NEED:
Googly Eyes (optional)
How adorable are these fall ballerinas!?
What we will do for them is grab one large Popsicle stick. Paint a little leotards on them. My daughter and I picked fall colors, but you can really do which ever ones you’d like.
After that, paint a little face on her. Then, get your handy dandy hot glue gun out and slap on some leaves and then she is complete!
The Scarecrow that is not so scary.
For this guy, or gal, whatever… Line up 8 small sticks in a row. You can also use larger sticks if you want him bigger.
This step will be a little different. Rather than gluing a stick to the back, glue one in a diagonal angle. This will become the brim for his hat.
After the glue settles, paint the diagonal stick and the space above it orange. Glue some googly eyes to his face and cut out a long triangle for his nose. Then, paint on a mouth.
For his hair, we used left over yellow grass from my daughters Easter basket. Though it would also work with strips of foam or even yarn as well. Use your imagine for his lovely locks.
THANKSGIVING PUMPKIN PIE
I love me some pumpkin pie! I would eat it all year round if I could. For now, we will just use our imaginations. Smell the pie….taste the pie…mmmm
Get out 3 large Popsicle sticks and arrange them into a triangle. Fasten them together with a little glue on each end. After that dries up a bit, paint it orange.
From here, cut out an orange triangle out of your foam sheet to match the size of your stick triangle. Glue it to the back side. Get out a single cotton ball, dab a small amount of glue and stick it right smack dab in the middle.
Try not to let your mouth water too much while you are making this one. Can you tell that I LOVE pumpkin pie??
FUN FALL TURKEY
What a fun little turkey craft for kids! Gobble! Gobble! – Cheesy, I know…
Pull out seven small sticks for this little guy. Paint two of them brown. For the rest, paint them, blue, red, yellow and green.
Here’s where it gets semi tricky. On the backside, you’ll glue the red stick about halfway down your turkey’s back. The red and yellow will be glued at a diagonal right underneath the red.
The green and blue will be glued about an inch below the red and yellow.
Then, cut out a small orange triangle for his beak and a red snood. Glue each of these on along with small googly eyes and let him dry.
More Fun Crafts:
Line up 8 Popsicle sticks in a vertical row. On one side of the sticks, glue one horizontally 1 1/2 of the way from the top. This will secure your line in place.
From there, paint a white strip about 1 inch thick along the top of the horizontal stick. Then paint the space above the white black.
Also, paint your horizontal stick black. After that is complete, you will paint the bottom portion of your pilgrim white. Paint on small strips of brown for his hair.
Then for the embellishments, cut out a small square out of yellow foam. Also cut a second square in the center. Once that is complete, your paint should be dry enough to glue on the center of your horizontal stick.
His shirt will also need a tie. Cut out a triangle out of black foam. Then, cut the top point off and glue to the bottom of your pilgrim. Add some eyes, nose and mouth. He is done.
How cute are these apples?! They are SO easy to make too! Gather 4 small Popsicle sticks. Lay them out in a straight line and glue a small section of a larger stick to the back.
While that dries, cut a circle of foam sheets. We chose green and red, but you can use yellow too. Then cut small sections. Then glue on side to the top and one to be bottom.
After that, cut out and glue a small stem and leaf. Then, with some black, paint small pointed ovals for the seeds anndd…it’s done! That’s it! Super easy!
DELICIOUS FALL FESTIVAL CORN
Fall corn…Mmm… This craft made me hungry…
For the corn, you’ll lay out a 4 small Popsicle stick line. Cut out small sections of a larger stick and glue to the back. Be sure to cut it short enough where it won’t stick out of the sides.
Flip it over and paint it yellow. While that is drying, cut out pointed oval shapes for the leaves and the topper. Once complete, glue them to the backside of the corn.
Now, get the brown, or tan paint out to make a little checker board on the corn to give it a little bit of texture. You can also lightly brush on a gray paint to the topper to really make it pop.
This super fun fall inspired craft for kids are perfect for any age! Which Popsicle stick craft is your favorite?
